In 2023, a coalition of Christian pastors and religious leaders formed a group called “Pastors for Trump” after some evangelical leaders abandoned their support for the former President. The coalition includes both well-known pastors and lesser-known church leaders from across the United States, who believed that Trump’s policies and values align with Christian principles.

Led by Jackson Lahmeyer, a Pastor from Oklahoma, Pastors for Trump had chapters in all 50 states with over 7,000 pastors as members leading upwards of 200,000 congregants. The group praised Trump’s pro-Israel stance and his commitment to protecting religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and traditional family values.

Throughout Trump’s re-election bid, Pastors for Trump is holding rallies, prayer meetings, and other events in support of the President and his policies. Pastors for Trump is a vocal and visible part of the broader coalition of religious conservatives who support the Trump administration.
